Why do I need an MOT?

Any vehicle over 3 years old is required to have an annual safety check which is called an MOT test (Ministry of Transport test). This test checks that the vehicle meets the standard legal safety levels.

At Blandford MOT & Service Centre in Blandford Forum, we have a team of approved MOT testers on Classes 4 and 7 who carry out a series of checks on your vehicle, looking inside, outside, under the bonnet and underneath the vehicle. If your vehicle passes all the checks, we can issue a pass certificate. There may also be “advisory” items which means that you need to keep an eye on them. Unfortunately, not all vehicles pass the MOT test, but thankfully, we can carry out any repairs that are required and then retest your vehicle, and get you safely back on the road.
